Making Islamic home finance cheaper
We’ve set up a waqf to bring down the cost of Islamic home finance. And we’re funding it with our own profits!
What is a Waqf?
A waqf is an endowment — you give an asset (money, property, land) and it’s invested permanently. It can never be sold or spent down. Only the returns are used, and they’re directed toward a good cause, forever. For centuries in the Islamic world, waqf funded hospitals, universities, and homes for people who had none.
A community solution
Britain has a housing problem that money alone hasn’t solved — not because the money isn’t there, but because it’s never been organised around a permanent solution.
Waqf is that solution: capital that never leaves, working for home ownership year after year.
Pfida’s commitment
Pfida is committed to donating a portion of our surplus profits each month into the waqf, in perpetuity. This isn’t a side initiative — it’s part of our founding belief that we do better when we do it together, not alone. Every year, that surplus keeps working toward getting more people into homes.
How you can get involved
We will soon provide more details of how you can get involved – watch this space!
